That is right, It has officially been 1 year of marriage! It flew by, I seriously can not believe how fast it went. It was almost 3 years ago that "A" and I met in a sunny coastal town of South Carolina. We have since migrated to the Midwest, became engaged, married, and now celebrated 1 year of blissful marriage! I even got two cards!! Amazing!! Husband is not much of a card man and usually just signs his name, for this special day, I got two cards with major writing, a powerball ticket, and a wonderful day! We shopped and dined out during the day and dressed up and headed to a romantic dinner at night!! We made sure to make some time for our wedding day cake, only one bite though for good luck! Thanks "A" I love you!!

My cousins "J" and "M" are expecting a baby girl in August. We all got together to shower them with love and gifts. They live all the way in Texas and came in town for the weekend. Here are some pics of the celebration. More pictures to come in the future!

Today was a good day!! One of those days you really love a lot!! It was a ton of fun!! The day started bright and early at 5:30 AM. Three of my friends and a I boarded a bus and headed to our destination, 1/2 marathon time! For months (1.5), "T", "S", & I have been training for this goal. Each Sunday we would meet, strap on our camelbacks and Ipods and hit the pavement. Last week I seem to get a stress facture on my Right foot which put a quick halt to the running idea. It is actually not a big deal, you just have to stop all high impact sports and take some Advil. Around the same time, my friend "K" decided to join the marthon crowd and decided to sign up with no training whatsoever, Crazy girl!! So this was our group, "T" & "S" ran the whole thing and ended with a very impressive time. Myself and "K" decided to jog/walk the event and had a blast! Everyone truly rocked out!! As soon as I returned home the husband surprised me with a prescheduled massage and and a lunch out at our favorite place, Five Guys!" He is so sweet, I am so blessed!!

Luggage Tags with a Cause

So as most everyone knows, I really love adoption and love when people adopt children to love forever! In the "blog world" there are so many great families who have traveled so far to bring their kiddos home. One such family, just adopted two super cute kids from Ethiopia and are in the process of adopting another little boy as well. As part of their fundraiser to bring their new addition home (Adoption is super expensive) they are selling these super cute homemade luggage tags and they have an awesome cause. Shopping Time (Again)

I had previously posted about this fun event that comes to the Midwest. It is multiple local boutique vendors who all get together in one location and have a little party with discounts on their items. There is a lot of cute stuff including fun jewelry, shoes, beauty products, etc. I was able to spend some time with my sister "R", Mom, Cousin "J", and Aunt "J" (all pictured here). We were able to shop it up and then head to my favorite local mexican place and hang out!! Thanks ladies for a fun night!!

On Saturday I got a fun phone call that my sister was coming out my was with the kiddos and heading to the mall. I was engrossed in studying for pharmacology and decided this weould be a perfect study break. I got to see my sis, niece, and nephew. I snapped some pics of the kids playing at the mall. We missed out on the fun

We missed out due to the miles in between us, I would have totally joined in on the cheerleading fun(you know I would have)!!

Rock Chalk Jayhawk

Hello, Good news from the midwest!! KU beat UNC to now advance to the championship game. There is a little rivalry around the house, after all, the husband went to VT. Needless to say, the love for KU is not felt by both members of the household. We still had a great time last night. We have a new entertainment district in the midwest and headed there to watch the game in a outdoor venue. I have high hopes for Monday night, go KU!!

New Season!

Guess what time it is?? Kickball is back, I am so bummed b/c I cannot play this season due to Grad school classs. As the former coach (a couple of years ago) of the team, I have no doubt that the Husband will do great in his coaching abilities. After all, he did lead us to back to back championships!! Do I hear a 3-peat? Go S and B!!!
