Hope everyone is doing good in their corner of the world. We are doing great in the midwest and are excited for winter to be over. Today, God sent us some sun, yeah! We are thankful for so much in our life but today, we just love that Sun!! Please send some more, if I can be picky, less wind. Jager and I were actually able to venture out of the house and run/walk for a couple of miles today-Amazing! After we came back.... Jager was so ready to bask in the Sun!! I would have too but I should probably be productive... I will save that for our trip to Florida in May. We love ya all and hope the sun is shining on you as well!

Self Esteem Boost

Our niece "C" may not even be 2 yet however she is already looking like a little lady and is full of compliments!! Her most recent self esteem boost occured a couple days ago upon seeing a picture of this woman.

She immediately started yelling "Nana,Nana!" which is what she calls me. We all got a good laugh! Everyone knows that this does NOT look like me, especially in a swim suit however I loved it!! She is the smartest little lady and I totally respect her 2 yr old opinion, she won points with me!! I love her!! Thanks "C" for making my day!!

Together the Husband and I have 6 of the cutest nieces and nephews!! This month was Birthday month, so far Nephew "K" had his birthday on the East Coast, Husband's "Sis M" celebrated her birthday day as well and Nephew "L" also celebrated his 6th Birthday! Here are some pics of "Nephew L's" birthday celebration! Happy Birthday to "Nephew K," "Sis M," and "Nephew L." There are still more to come, which I will blog about soon, the celebations will continue!!

More girlfriends, So fun!!!

Last night we got together with friends at a local midwest piano bar to hang out, watch some dueling, and (for some of us) be part of the show. Congrats to our good friends, "D" and "J" who recently got engaged!! It was amazing that we all made it out last night because the weather was bad: freezing cold and 1 inch of sleet makes driving oh so fun. Luckily, we all arrived safely and had such a good time! Here are some snapshots to recap the evening!! Our request of "Cyclone" by Baby Bash never got played, bummer! They did hook us up with a great rendetion of "Dixie Land Delight" and "Sublime." Just a few of our favorite music selections. Cheers to the happy new engaged couple!!

A taste of the tropics!

This weekend we went to a wedding reception downtown and decided to stay at a hotel near the party. We forgot the camera but we were able to catch some images on the flip... I love the flip...google it... it rocks! Here is a pic of me with two of my girl friends hanging out at the reception. Both of these lovely ladies were my college roommates. Once we checked into the hotel, we were greeted by the this rainforest.I guess it is our "little taste of the tropics" kinda, if you stretch your imagination a bit!! We loved it!! This sight was very refreshing as it is freezing here, we woke up to a snow storm that neither of us knew was coming, gotta love the midwest!!!

My New Favorite

Ya know how Oprah has that show... My favorite things!! I have a few of my own however my blog is not near as exciting and no freebies (that would be awesome)!! So here are my new favorite shades! It is February and the sun is starting to shine, I am seeing the light at the end of these brutal midwest winters.. so what do I get... sunglasses!! The husband got them for me for V-day and I am such a fan, just had to share!! Spring will be here soon!! Yeah!!

Happy Belated Valentine's Day!! Our day was very good, Husband had to work and I had school all day. The Husband picked me up from school and then we headed out to a late dinner with 4 of our friends!! The food was so good and the decor was really impressive. This new restaurant has only been in the midwest for less than a year and is a complete original, it even has homemade desserts (which we passed on). After chowing down on the curried chicken skewers, crab bisque, Salad, Steak and the Salmon we decided to skip the sweets!! Here are some pics from the night... our friend "D" is totally growing out his hair and has a half mustache. Here he is sporting his and new look!! When we came home, these beauties were waiting for me, thanks babe!!

Today was so fun! The girls and I went to Haute Market! It is basically a collection of everything a girl could desire: shopping, pampering, massages, food and drinks. My friend "J" (Black leather coat) got selected for a kickin makeover and went home with a new wardrobe, she scored big!!

(RED) Stuff: Makes me smile!!

(RED) baby product: Make a difference Adult T-shirt: Totally have one: The husband bought it, LOVE IT!!

A few months ago I started seeing these (RED) products all over and had to find out more about them. First all all, they are super cute and they are for a great cause. A percentage of each (PRODUCT)RED product sold is given to The Global Fund. The money helps women and children affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa. I love helping out and I love these products. A few weeks ago I came home and there was one of these on my kitchen table. The husband had went out to buy it on his day off, just to make me smile (and help Africa). Mine says (2 weeks) and they money from the purchase paid for a person with HIV to receive medication for 2 weeks. I wear it like crazy and now have my eye on the (Red) Converse shoes. So..... if you need a new tee, a cutie baby gift, some new sneakers or even a laptop check out the red products!! They ROCK!!!

Tonight we joined friends of ours to watch the Superbowl!! It was so fun, they have a big loft in the city with a crazy big projection screen TV. I was rooting for the the Giants all the way and was jumping up and down for joy when they won (I love it when the underdawg takes the cake)!! Here are some pics from a great evening with friends. New Job: Church Greeter!!

Since moving back to the midwest, the husband and I have found a church we really love. It is so laid back, really fun, casual, and has a very funny man as the pastor. So a few weeks ago, the husband had to work and I ventured to church solo, I was chatting it up and some members of the church asked if husband and I would like to be greeters? First of all, I am horrible at saying "No" and second of all I thought it sounded pretty fun. We are not even members of the church so husband was a bit surprised about our new role in our community, "Greeter Team." Today was the first Sunday of our duties, the husband and I had no idea what to expect, here I am pre-church practicing with our cute dog, Jager (total posed pic)!! Our sermon today was on Marriage and it was such a great topic, it was so funny, I was laughing so hard that husband was like"really, that loud in church?" I was having fun, and he was cracking up as well!! Being a greeter was really fun, we met a lot of nice people are are now involved! I am happy I said "Yes!"

It is cold here in the midwest and as crazy as this sounds, we can't wait to be in frigid conditions in BRECKENRIDGE!! Our super nice and generous friends gave us a trip to this winter wonderland for our wedding and we are stoked. Thanks so much T&V. In March we will be heading to a kickin' resort in Breck to ski, snowboard, tube, eat, hang out, and play uno. Yes, we are huge Uno fans and can't wait to bring this "must have" item along for the trip. I am getting so pumped that I just had to blog about it!

1/2 Marathon Time

So today I decided to sign up for another 1/2 marathon!! It has been 2 years since I have attempted a race like this . To reach the finish line, it will take lots of training, water, side cramps and prayers to make it through!! I am so excited!!!! The husband will not be joining me on this one, hopefully he will be on the sidelines though on April 20th!!
