Sleeping after lots of play
Gypsy is doing great!! Seriously she is a great dog, she was an escapee a few times but with that behind us, she is really opening up. Everyday she is becoming more comfortable in her home! She LOVES Jager, I think she thinks he is a bit Hyper but they play together all the time. Here are some new pics!!

Gypsy Comes Home!!
We found a Gypsy!! Our newest and youngest addition to our family is a super cute 1.5year old Mix dog that was at a local shelter in the area. Gypsy caught our eye on the great website Petfinder. She has and adorable face and a sad story. We scheduled an appt to meet her this AM, thinking that we would just meet her, see how it goes, and maybe get her in a week or so. Turns out, we loved Gypsy!! 40 short minutes after meeting her she was riding home in the Landrover with Crazy Jager right beside her. As most of you know, the husband was not totally on board with having a 2nd dog but this Gypsy must have cast a spell b/c Husband was the first one to say, "Looks like Gypsy is coming home with us!" And that my friends, is a little of the story to Our Gypsy. Today has been full of dog baths, Dog tag engraving, new collar shopping, setting up a new crate for night time sleeping and attempting to teach Gypsy simple commands like "come" and "sit." She is so sweet and is easily redirectable so the transition has been smooth sailing so far!!

Ocean City- Family Trip
Immediately returning from the Lake, we boarded a plane and headed to see more family in Ocean City, Maryland! We were able to meet up with husbands parents, Sister, Brother-in-law, our niece and 2 nephews! I had never been here before but absolutely loved it. We had great weather and good times with family. We stayed at a beutiful condo in a gated community, lots of beach/pool time, good music, boating, mini golf and lots of food. The community was almost Charleston style and full of friendly families, below are some pictures of the great week. Thanks to M&S for taking upwards of 600 pictures, we have some great ones to share!! Thanks!! It was such a good time!!
Here is the resort "Sunset Island" that we loved!!

Cute Niece and Nephews chillin' at Happy Hour!
Mini golf fun, the girls had a more relaxed approach than the guys!

Lake of the Ozarks- Family trip
The beginning of August got off to a great start. I was able to meet my Dad, Mom, Sister, Brother-in-law, brother, and niece and nephew in beautiful Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. We had an abosulute blast!! Boating on Brown Sugar (Bro's boat), swimming, tubing on Big Mable (picture below), and of course dinner at our fav local spot: The Horny Toad. We missed having Husband on the trip, he had to stay back and work. I forgot to take any pictures so The below pics will have to do but they don't really capture all the fun and exctiement!! We have been going to the lake since I was a kiddo and I always LOVE it!!
Here is a Coast line of the Lake of the Ozarks!!
The Horny toad is always packed and a annual tradition!
Big Mable is a must to bring along!! (This is not us, just the promo pic!)

Hiatus
Hello All! I apologize for the slight (okay, more that slight) break in my blogging ways. August was jam packed and full of fun (posts to come) and then it was time to get back to the grindstone:I started my last semester of grad school in August and will officially be done at the end of November and will graduate early December! I am so pumped!! So now begins the job search, suit shopping, resume tweaking, cover letter proofreading and all the fun that comes with that!! Truthfully, I am VERY excited!! The husband is good, working lots and playing lots as well. We believe in "work hard=play hard," he is currently at an NFL game with the boys as I write this! You just know he is loving that as he attends all NFL games (regardless of location or teams playing) in his beloved Sean Taylor Redskins jersey. He may be the Solo redskins fan in our neighborhood or town for that matter but he wears those shirts and hangs that flag with pride!! Will update soon on all the happenings!

Garage Sale Fun
Thats right, We had a Garage sale!! I absolutely loved it. We actually made it a "party sale." We lined our driveway with Tiki torches, busted out some Justin Timberlake on the boom box, and had a kickin' hot dog stand while we said goodbye to our stuff. It was a total success, worth the work of the whole event. Our neighbors got in on it too. The kids in the pics live next door to us and decided to stop by for a "combo meal." Yep, we even sold combo meals, hot dog plus drink!! Why not, it was a ton of fun. We started at 7 Am and wrapped up about 2 in the afternoon. These pics don't truly capture the event but you can see the husbands "sauce boss" hat which was a highlight of the day for many shoppers.
Husband and neighbor "W" at the Grill

Neighbors "L" and "W" chowing down

Casting call for the Bachelor!
So the Bachelor, "the tv show" was recently in the midwest to find some new ladies for the show! I went with two of my good friends to support them as they smiled for pictures and got interviewed for thier TV debut!! I would vote for them, they really hammed it up!! Here is a pic of the ladies right after the interviews:
Highlights from the interviews:
"K" in the greeen: Question: "What is one of your biggest achievements?"
K: "I recently caught a huge fish and got the "Lunker" award at a local lake!" (True story, and those producers are always looking for a lady that can reel them in)
"D" in the yellow: Question: "Why do you think some of your past relationships have not worked?
D: "Well, one of them decided he likes men!" (True story as well, the lady interviewing kinda had a shocked expression on her face)
Loved it!!! Good job girls! You have mine and the husbands votes! Can't wait to see you on the TV screen! Priceless!

We have a GOAT LOVER
That's right.. my Dad loves goats!! Who knew? Today we went to a very cute little petting zoo/play area/ mining zone/fishing area. My mom, dad, brother, husband, our niece, nephew and myself all attended the petting zoo date. It was a lot of fun... especially for Dad who Loved the Goats. Every time I looked over, he was feeding some new ones, or stretching tree branches down so that the Goats could eat the leaves (seriously happened, but it was very cute). He even bought this little baby bottle to hand feed the little ones, check it out!! It was a great day, we then had a pizza lunch at our house! Thanks fam!

Pretty Much... the Best day!!

So I am not sure If I have informed all of you about the grad school program that I am in. On most days.. I am not a fan of it... and it completely stresses me out. They have more rules than a police academy. If you get lower than an 83% test average or lower than an 83% in the class you automactically fail. I mean totally fail, to break it down, a B-=an F. If you fail one class, it sets you back one year. Nothing like a little stress. Since the start of our program we have had mutiple people fail and our class size continues to dwindle. We now stand at 11 of us who are set to graduate in December. This past week was finals week, I basically hibernated at the library, our office, or barnes and noble and I was no fun. I am always scared about the possiblity of getting lower than an 83% and being failed. So with the biggest smile on my face... I proudly annouce that I passed, I passed advanced pharmacology, primary care of adults, and research. I am done with those crazy classes and ready to be on the beach in Florida next week!! I feel alive again.. and it is such a sweet relief!!!!! Woo hoo!!!
