We are thankful we were able to spend 5 days with good friends of ours in the cutest little town of Breckenridge!! We broke out the skis and snowboard and hit the slopes, I even ventured onto a Black! Other activities of the week included shopping, eating, crazy games, Hot tub time, hitting the local hangouts, and of course tubing (pics to come)!!

Our Bro in law, "T's" birthday was last week and we were able to all get together for the celebration. We did go to a restaurant that also doubles as a flea market.... random but very cool at the same time!! It was a lot of fun and guess who else showed up for the party? You guessed it, the Mayor (no picture but I promise)!!! The food was excellent! Happy Birthday "T"!!

Spring Break 2008!!

Spring break is here ...the husband was able to work his schedule and has 6 days off and I have no classes this week so the options are endless! With this is mind, you may think we would go CRAZY!! When the husband got home from work and me from clinical, we decided we would go out to eat at a new Sushi Place (probably sounds like a great choice since the husband is allergic to seafood). Not to worry, he gets the teriyaki chicken. So we had a plan, I would get ready and then we would go out, I jumped in the shower and got ready super fast. I bounced my way downstairs ready for the freedom of no studying and a night with the husband.... and what do I find.... the husband fast asleep on the couch!! It appears the craziness of our schedules caught up with someone. Thirty minutes later he awoke, we had a laugh and we headed out for a night on the town..... we had a great time but let me note... it is 11:00 pm in the midwest and we are ready to call it a night!!

Apparently we are getting older!! Oh well, SB08 really starts once we hit the slopes in Breckenridge!! Happy SB and Easter to all!! We are thinking of you from the midwest!!

Here are so pictures from a recent night out with some friends. We got to dine on some Asian food, chat,walk around, go to a bakery and best of all hang with this little cutie pie. One topic that we love to discuss is... "What would you do if you won the lottery?" The answers are endless and it is so fun to dream. For those of you who don't know.... the powerball is currently at $275 million dollars!! I am so going to win, I just know it!! Good Luck!! (I am so going to use my fortune cookie numbers)!!

Lilly the beauty

A few short days ago I received a sad email from one of my dear friends... one of her friends had recently had a beautiful baby girl named Lilly. Lilly died suddenly last week at the tender age of 3 1/2 months. She will be missed but never forgotten. Lilly is stunning, look at those eyes. Please keep Jennifer and Richard (her parents) in your prayers during this time.

Last Night was a much needed escape from the books and studying for a night out on the town!! The area we live near is having a huge downtown revitalization, which is awesome. There are several great areas to go out here, however this is the new district!! We loved it...we hit up two new places, here we are out with some friends!! Many of these people are also on our kickball team!!

Dog Update

The cute little white dog that was seen in my previous post was claimed by the owner the following day!! The Husband said he thinks the little dog belongs to our neighbors up the road, Sorry Neighbors!!! The dog was far away from his house, alone, and in the road so he needed to be rescued!!!

Procrastination

This week is midterms!! Yeah Advanced Pharmacology and Primary care of Adults, those are my 2 big exams within the next 8 days. For the moment, my second home is Borders Book store, I just love that place to study. Occasionally the husband will join me however I usually study there with two ladies I go to school with, "B" and "S". A lot of studying and of course a little chatting.

The husband and I decided to take a study break yesterday. We ate some great Greek food and then looked at (drove by/explored) these awesome homes!!! We are not moving ...just wishful thinking!! Here are a few of our favs from the website, who new this Tuscan community was so close to us in the Midwest.... the things you do to not Study!!!

Daydreaming

The midwest has had some awesome weather the last 2-3 days!! It has been sunny and in the 60's which is crazy nice! The husband is a true sun lover and had to work the last three days. He has the next two days off, and we just got a winter advisory for tonight!! Two words the husband and I hope we never hear again are "Wintery Mix." That is basically code for "really cold bad weather" which equals hibernation for us! We are ignoring these weather reports and just daydreaming about the fun vacations that are in our near future...here we come Breckenridge and Destin!!! We can't wait!! Both will be a blast and full of fun activities, skiing, snowboarding, and surfing! What more could we ask for

Today "T" and I had a full day of church greeting, lunch, studying at Borders and finding a lost dog. On our way home from studying we noticed a cute little white dog who kept just hanging out in the road. We watched her for a bit but she kept returning to the road. We were nervous that she would get hit so "T" just scooped her up and along she came with us. We did ask around, however no one knew this little puppy so we just kept her safe. She is now with the Animal control however she will not be euthanized, she will stay with them for 3 days and then be put up for adoption. She is the cutest thing! Hopefully she will find her home!!

Last Night was Aunt "J's" Birthday!! To celebrate we headed to a local irish pub and had dinner. A radio station was broadcasting from the venue due to it being "leap day" (who knew that this we such a celebratory event)!! I won 2 movie passes and 2 tickets to an RV show (I gave the RV tickets to my bro)! Woo hoo!! It was really busy however we were able to sit in a back room for dinner so that it was a little quieter and we could chat. After Dinner the "Guinness Girls" started making their rounds!! We got free beer and cute little irish glasses all around (except the kiddos)! A short while later the Guinness Girls were back and they wanted our family to play a little trivia to win prizes and Yeah we won!! We won Hats, T-shirts, magnets, and signed a petition for St. Pat's to be a recognized Holiday!! After wards we headed back to the rents house for gifts and desserts!! It was a blast, Happy B-day Aunt J!!
